Aurelien Sabouret, cellist from France, is a graduate of the CNSM de Paris, where he studied with the cellist Jean-Marie Gamard. He then perfected his art at Boston University in the United States under the guidance of cellist Andrés Diaz and won first prize at the “Heida Hermann International String Competition” (USA) in 1999.
After seven years as a member of the Orchestre de Paris under the direction of Christoph Eschenbach, Aurelien Sabouret has been principal cellist of the Paris National Opera Orchestra since 2009. In addition to his orchestral activities, he teaches cello at the Paul Dukas Conservatory in the 12th district of Paris.
Aurelien Sabouret is a member of the Bedrich String Quartet and performs regularly in France, Germany and Japan. He is also the founder of the Bion Records label, for which he has already released around ten albums of the great masterpieces of French music in the form of sonatas and string quartets.
