    Jan Van Hoecke completed his master’s degree summa cum laude in Bart Coen’s class at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. He has given concerts in Europe, Japan, Korea, Canada and the United States.
    He has participated in CD recordings with “Champ d’Action”, “Gli Angeli”, “Norddeutscher Rundfunk” and “Collegium Vocale”. His CD with his own arrangements of J.S. Bach’s organ trio sonatas was recorded in the Bruges Concert Hall together with harpsichordist Jovanka Marville for the Alpha label.
    He has won numerous international prizes, including first prize and the audience prize at the Johann Heinrich Schmelzer Competition in Melk, the prize for the best interpretation of historical ornamentation at the Telemann Competition in Magdeburg, the Young Artists Bach Competition Winner (San Francisco) and he was laureate of the Musica Antiqua Competition in Bruges.
    From 2009 to 2019 he taught at the Conservatoire de Lausanne. Since October 2019, Jan Van Hoecke has been Professor of Recorder at the University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) in Frankfurt am Main.
