    Recorder & baroque violin

    Kerstin Fahr performs as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral musician with renowned ensembles such as the Berlin Baroque Soloists, Concerto Melante, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and the Neumeyer Consort.
    Enthusiastic and fascinated by early music and its performance practice as well as contemporary music, she devotes herself intensively to chamber music and interdisciplinary projects with other arts such as dance or literature.
    She has performed at international festivals such as the Lucerne Festival or the Bachfest Leipzig and has appeared at the Vienna Musikverein or the Philharmonie Berlin. Kerstin studied recorder and baroque violin at the conservatories in Freiburg, Frankfurt and Lyon and successfully completed her studies with the recorder concert exam.
    Until 2024 she taught recorder and methodology at the HfMDK Frankfurt am Main and held a substitute professorship there in the summer semester of 2019. She has been teaching recorder at the Conservatoire de Lausanne since 2019 and has been a professor of recorder and historical performance practice at the Lucerne School of Music since 2023.
