Singing
Friedamaria Wallbrecher initially studied music for teaching at grammar schools at the Munich University of Music, majoring in viola. She received her vocal training from Susanne Bernhard and Stanislava Stoytcheva. She has been a member of the Munich Philharmonic Choir and the vocal chapel of the Theatinerkirche (formerly the royal court chapel) since 2012. Since 2013 she has sung et al. in the concert choir of the Bavarian Radio Choir and in the opera choir of the Munich State Opera (including in 2019 the “Missa Solemnis” by L. v. Beethoven under Kirill Petrenko). In 2016, she went on several tours with Enoch zu Guttenberg to China, South Korea, Canada and the USA, et al. to Carnegie Hall. Friedamaria Wallbrecher performs regularly as a soloist. In 2022, she toured Bavaria with the Yara Ensemble and performed both the Christmas Oratorio and, at Easter 2023, the St. John Passion by J.S. Bach as a soloist. In February 2023, she performed a cabaret program with the Munich Philharmonic’s jazz quartet Ilona Cudek. Friedamaria Wallbrecher loves musical diversity and has regularly performed in world premieres of experimental contemporary music as part of the “Ascending voices” concert series since 2015. She founded the vocal octet “Voxonans” in 2020 and has also been a member of the barbershop quartet “Time4Tunes” and the Chilean-German band “Fronteras Dispersas” since 2016.
